This past week has been one of the least fun weeks of my life for many reasons, one of which was being bedridden with a severe case of the flu. Now I know why/how people actually can die from the flu, no joke.
In the haze of a 102-degree fever, I dreamt that I was in a middle of a gnarly Battle-Royale type situation, slashing people and being slashed. When I came to, I glanced at the two things that always make things better: Miss Roxy and my collection of skin care shit.
This was purrrrchased on a whim from oo35mm because it seemed to have serious brayin’ power. Look at the name:
Elizavecca Milky Piggy Silky Creamy Donkey Steam Cream Mask Pack
After looking at the package for ingredients I realized I took a major risk. Nothing was in English except for the directions and the warning. I took a big ass leap of faith based on that donkey milk goodness.
Upon opening I was very disappointed. It’s that DAMN opaque milky creamy serum that leaves a white residue on your face. It’s totally not the clear viscous serums that I’m used to. I just don’t feel that these thick milky serums absorb that well in mask form. It’s like smearing Ponds cream on a cotton sheet then slapping it on your face.
The mask also was semi loose fitting. I wore my trusty silicone mask cover on top to keep the moisture in, but my face started to itch. I don’t know what caused the itchiness but needless to say I didn’t feel compelled to stick it out.
You can see from the pic that the milky serum (more like a lotion) didn’t absorb well into the sheet nor my face and just sat around all clumpy.
After I peeled off the mask, my skin was PALER than before. Combined with the cold flu sweat and malaise…I basically looked like a vampire. Angela would’ve approved.
Pros:
Cute packaging, cheap, widely available on Amazon
Cons:
Doesn’t spread well, tingling sensation, ill fitting mask sheet
